The Gardens at Pendle Heritage Centre

Pendle Heritage Centre’s beautiful Gardens cover four acres including our hillside Woodland Walk.  They provide a magnificent setting for our Listed Buildings – Park Hill, its Barn and Cottages and the Cruck Barn, but they are also dotted with historic structures, such as walls, railings and ancillary buildings, like our Gardener’s Bothy. In addition, they act as a horticultural entrance to Barrowford Park.

There is no single garden.  There is the intimate garden at the front of Park Hill, a herb garden, a sunny courtyard, the splendid borders and lawn adjacent to the Georgian façade and the Barn, our wild Woodland and, of course, our most totemic garden feature, the Walled Garden.
