Any Donation Means A Lot

Many people wrongly think that the Pendle Heritage Centre is run by the Council.  This is not so.  We are part of a charity called the Heritage Trust for the North West.  All the proceeds from our commercial activities, the Shop, Tea Room and the events we host are ploughed back into maintenance and upkeep.  Even though we rely on volunteers and support from the team at Friends of Pendle Heritage, we are only just about making ends meet.

We apply for every grant we can, but it is a constant uphill struggle to find the £600,000 it costs to run the Pendle Heritage Centre each year.

We have plans to improve our museum and add a sensory garden.  We want to add discrete services to our Medieval Cruck Barn.  We’d like to do more community outreach and put on many more accessible exhibitions.

Because we are small, with very low overheads, any donation you can spare to help us in our work will really count.  It could be a fiver, or something more substantial – we will be deeply grateful for your generosity.  Please remember to fill in the Gift Aid form if you are a British Taxpayer, as this grows your donation by 25%.
